An Architecture for Cyberspace: Spatialization of the Internet
نویسنده
چکیده
The basic problem of cyberspace architecture is to prescribe a spatiallycoherent internetworked infrastructure capable of delivering a real-time environment, with appropriate fidelity, to a large number of participants. We use the ARPA Domain-Specific Software Architecture process to develop an architecture for cyberspace. The process begins with the development of a Domain Model. Reference Requirements are then derived from the Domain Model. A Reference Architecture is developed based on these requirements. The Reference Architecture is integrated with a hierarchical spatial indexing geometry to achieve a scalable Domain-Specific Software Architecture. The Software Architecture is instantiated at several levels within the domain as Application Architectures.
